Gouache on paper heightened with gold, the musician holding a lute flanked by a pair of angels beneath a gold archway, with later appliqué illuminated border from a sixteenth century manuscript, reverse with a large silvered ring, oxidized, 3ll. of clear black naskh and headings in larger naskh, mounted, framed and glazed
