PROBABLY SOUTHERN INDIA, 19TH CENTURY
Of slightly tapering cylindrical form with flat spine and convex terminal, the face with a panel of dense floral engraving below a panel inset with rubies and emeralds forming a radiating rosette design, the reverse engraved with dense scolling foliage and perching birds, the terminal inset with rubies and emeralds, ceramic core, some stones damaged or partly missing
