Circa 1925, GREEN PRINTED MARKS, GILT PATTERN NO. AND YEAR CYPHER 1830/X.120., SEVERAL WITH RETAILER'S MARKS FOR CHARLES HALL, SPRINGFIELD, MA.
In two closely matched patterns, each border with alternate pale-yellow and blue striated panels, enamelled with stylized spilling vases and trailing flower heads within gilt bands, five of these with additional flower garlands beneath each vase; together with twelve similar pale-yellow ground dinner plates, green printed marks, gilt pattern no. and year cypher 1830/A.306, retailer's mark for J.E. Caldwell & Co., Philadelphia; and a similar slightly later silver-mounted 'Renaissance Ivory' bowl

Lenox produced exclusive patterns for noted retailers. The present lot include examples retailed by Charles Hall, please note the slight pattern variation in the border thus insuring them the ability to market the plates as an exclusive if not unique commission.
