A PAIR OF MINTON COBALT-BLUE GROUND 'NEW DRESDEN' POT-POURRI VASES & COVERS
Circa 1838
Of neo-Rococo form, the quatrefoil domed cover surmounted by a putto holding a flower garland, above four reticulated rocaille-moulded cartouches centering panels painted with roses, pansies or fruit, the body painted front and back with 18th century views emblematic of the Seasons, identified at the lower left, above corresponding sprays of fruit and flowers, the conforming socle raised on four scroll feet
