Circa 1900, impressed AR monogram and Grand Feu Limoges mark, signed A.(uguste) RIFFATERRE, Limoges
Finely painted and hand tooled in white slip with a scantily clad maiden in a flower filled glen attended by birds in flight, one perched on her extended left hand
9½ x 6½ in. (24.1 x 16.4 cm.)

Lot Essay

Auguste Riffaterre is recorded as a student at the Municipal School, Limoges in the late 1880's.
