LATE 19TH/20TH CENTURY, SPURIOUS BLUE INTERLACED L'S MARKS, SIGNED AFTER F.(RANCOIS) BOUCHER
Of inverted-pear shape, each domed cover surmounted by a seated musical putto above paired gilt griffins, finely painted after Boucher with 'Les charmes du printemps' and 'Ce pasteur amoureux chante sur sa musette...', within a richly gilt two-toned foliate cartouche incorporating vases, cornucopiae and a spilling dolphin fountain, the reverse with a lakeside view, flanked by laurel wreath and ring handles, on a conforming socle and wreath-cast waisted canted square base
