A Louis XVI style ormolu and Sevres porcelain clock 'a cercle tournante'
Third quarter 19th Century
Modelled as a serpent-entwined urn with pinecone finial, the rotating ring dials with Roman and Arabic chapters, on a Vitruvian scrolled base, above a plinth set with turquoise-ground plaques painted with trophies and figures, the reverse inscribed with spurious interlaced 'L's for Sèvres and various letters
21½ in. (50.5 cm.) high; 10¼ in. (26 cm.) wide
