A THEODORE DECK EARTHENWARE VASE
Circa 1860, impressed and enriched in red with uppercase TH.DECK mark, painted shape no. 2385, the same number also on an original paper label
Of baluster form, the flaring neck surmounted by a purple lip, the amber ground decorated allover in floral and berry motifs including metallic or foil flowers, above a pedestal foot painted with bands of lavender and dark purple and olive green, the footrim painted in shades of turquoise and blue
17¼ in. (43.8 cm.) high
