A collection of silk fragments, including a panel of striped silk woven with vertical columms of rose bushes and paired birds against a metal ground--8 x 15½in. (20 x 39cm.), Persian, 17th century, glazed, glass broken; another smaller panel--9 x 7in. (23 x 17cm.); a striped silk with bands of cypress trees and arabesques between meandering vines--6½ x 9½in. (16.5 x 24cm.); two fragments of Japanese silk brocade; a fragment of figured silk, probably from a Moroccan wedding sash; and further fragments of floral silk brocade, mainly Persian, 17th/18th century, several joined, some glazed on board mounts, some glass broken
