The Photo Vanity camera was the subject of US patents of April 1 1924, October 7 1924 and January 27 1925 and Canadian patents of 1923. The camera was sold from circa 1926 as a detective camera for ladies, containing containers for powder, lipstick, rouge, matching change purse and key, in a addition to a concealed Ansco No. 0 box camera for 1 5/8 x 2= inch pictures. The camera was operated through discrete controls on the base of the vanity case and had a the lens aperture and red film window on opposite sides.
