Lot Essay

Maria-Anna of Savoy (1803-1884), daughter of King Vittorio-Emanuele I of Sardinia, married the Hereditary Prince Archduke Ferdinand of Austria in 1831. On his accession to the throne, Maria-Anna became Empress and in 1836, Queen of Bohemia.
