Fitted with a pair of gilt-metal and two brass-mounted bamboo spears, the case of cancharana inlaid with panels of ivirapita banded in roble argentino and strung with other tropical hard woods, applied with cast gilt shields supported by caraytids and dolphins, the strapwork hasps cast with sun masks, with winged griffin feet, the veneered interior bearing a brass plaque inscribed 'Costruida en el arsenal de guerra Esteban de Luca, 1924 Republica Argentina'
