Probably Palermo, maker or retailer's mark of Giuseppe Barraja, stamped 800
Bombé shaped compressed circular, on four cast scroll feet with lion's mask terminals, the body and cover applied with foliate scroll borders and engraved with foliage on a partly-textured ground, the cover repoussé and chased with a male mythical figure seated on grains and fruit and holding an eagle and a serpent, the base engraved with a presentation inscription, marked on base, also inscribed 'Argenteria Barraja di G.Barraja Palermo'
