A 18TH CENTURY FAN
The ivory guard sticks carved with a fox among foliage, the sticks pierced, the leaf of contemporary joined Binche bobbin lace composed into fan leaf in the 19th Century, in paper fan box labelled Vanier Parfumeur, 27 rue Caumartin, à Paris; sold with a handwritten note dated 9th August 1958, Castelli di Castellinaldo d'Alba, stating that the fan was once owned by Maria Clothilde of France, wife of Carlo Emanuele IV di Savoia, born 1750, died 1802, inherited from a Lady in Waiting of Queen Maria Adelaide;
and another fan with needle lace leaf, late 19th century, French
