Shaped circular, on four shaped bracket feet decorated with scrolls, foliage and a flower, the centre engraved with scrolling foliage, flowers and rocaille against matted ground with central engraved coat-of-arms and text, everted scroll and rocaille border, marked on base

The inscription reads: Presented to Thomas Crawford esq. by the Owners of Shincliffe Colliern in appreciation of his valuable services during the period he has been their consulting viewer and as a token of regard & esteem for him as a personal friend. MDCCCLV
