Shaped square on four shaped bracket feet, the everted border with applied shell and scroll rim, the centre engraved with double coat-of-arms, the reverse with inscription, marked on base
28.2 cm. wide
702 gr.
The inscription reads: Ter Gedagtenis der 25 Jaarige Trouwdag van Gualtherus Kolff en Alida Vosmaar aan haar Dogter Sara Cornelia Kolff den 7 September 1760*

Lot Essay

The arms are those of Gualtherus Kolff (1711-1789) and Alida Vosmaer (1712-1789). They married 7 September 1735 in Rotterdam. Sara Cornelia Kolff (1740-1802) was one of their three children. (Nederland's Patriciaat:/genealogieen van bekende geslachten, 's Gravenhage, 1995, p. 122-123)
