Mark of Sixtus Lederer, Strassbourg, early 17th century
On circular foot, the hexagonal sides each engraved with a symbolic figure and each inscribed CHARITAS, FORTITUDO, JUSTITIA, FIDES, PATIENTIA, SPES, hinged domed cover embossed and chased with scrolling foliage, scroll handle with figures and fruit, double scroll thumbpiece, marked on foot rim
