[Kidderminster: G.T. Cheshire, 1929]. 2 parts in one vol., 8vo., green dividing leaf, mounted photograph of the Bat and Ball Inn on limitation leaf, extra illustrated with three snapshots of Hambledon on endpapers, original green buckram (spine lightly rubbed, endpapers renewed, front inner hinges split). Provenance: PRESENTATION COPY TO C. J. BRITTON (with tipped-in autograph letter from the author to Britton, dated Kingsford, Sutton Park Rd., Kidderminster, 24 June 1929, presenting him with the book: "I am only too conscious of its imperfections, but trust it will be of some interest to you"; signed note in Britton's hand "received from N. Weston 25 June 1929" on limitation leaf; one snapshot including Britton and H. Pilling).

FIRST ISSUE, No. 2 OF 12 COPIES signed by the author. "I am never tired of looking at this small work, which tempted me to try and do the same thing" (Eagar Catalogue note). With two typed letters from Weston to "Dear Mr. Eagar", dated Kidderminster, 2 September 1950 and 7 May 1953, loosely inserted. The latter states that, being in the course of a house move, "it has been necessary for me to dispose of a great deal of my Collection. I have still got a good many items left and of course the whole of my W.G. Grace Collection is intact". Goldman p. 56; Padwick 41.
