London: R. Ayre and G. Moore, 27-29 June, 1776. Folio (18 x 12in; 457 x 298mm), 4p. in columns (holed in several places with slight loss of text, soiled, worn along folds). 20th-century cloth slipcase.

The first page gives news of a grand match "finished playing on Sevenoaks Vine on Wednesday last, for one thousand guineas; Hampshire against all England". Opening for England, the Duke of Dorset and Lumpy made the same low scores of 6 and 2. Nyland bowled Lumpy in the 1st innings and caught the Duke in the 2nd, and gave Hampshire an unassailable lead with a first innings 70, the highest score of the match.
