London: J. Andrews, 1827. 2 vols. in one, 8vo., etched frontispiece, additional title to each volume, and 29 plates by and after Dagley (some spotting of plates and text, plate opp. p. 215 cleanly torn and repaired on verso), contemporary half calf, spine gilt, marbled edges.

Second edition. The plate showing death bowling occurs opposite p. 69. It is accompanied by two poems, "The Game of Life" by S. Maunder and, new to this edition, "Verses in Praise of Cricket" by M. Cotton, also a prose piece "Death and the Cricketer" by "Barnard Batwell". Britton p. 51; Goldman p. 74: "the 2nd Edition is rarer than the 1st"; Padwick 6970.
