LAWS OF 1845
The Laws of Cricket, by authority of the Marylebone Club, as altered and revised June 2nd, 1845
Ongar, Essex: T.S. Richardson, 1848. 12mo., 3-14p., red calf for Goldman, original buff wrappers bound in, upper wrapper with printed title and woodcut vignette, lower wrapper with printed advertisement (slightly bowed, some stains to wrappers). Provenance: W.C.C. (inscription on wrapper) -- J.W. Goldman (binding and bookplate).
RARE ISSUE OF THE LAWS, with title on the wrapper only (a measure that reduced printing costs). Padwick 182 records an 1845 printing by T.S. Richardson, but not this later issue; not in Goldman.
