Provenance: J.W. Goldman (binding and bookplate; possibly lot 80 in his sale at Hodgson's, 24 November 1966, bought in at £4).
This "new edition" was the third, following publication of the first in 1838. Allen 34; Goldman p. 69: "a very rare item"; Taylor p. 37: "exceedingly rare"; Padwick 377.
