Hanhart, wood-engraved vignettes (spotting and some marginal soiling to plates, frontispiece offset, adhesive tape repairs at inner margins, pp. 24-25 ink stained), original blind-stamped green cloth, gilt edges (slightly discoloured, spine rubbed, front inner hinges repaired with tape, stitching weak). Provenance: pencil annotations on pp. 9-10 -- [J. Phillipps, Worthing (bookseller's label)].
