London: Methuen, 1900. 8vo., 17 plates (some spotting), original green cloth gilt (spine rubbed, inner hinges split). Provenance: Christopher Heseltine (signature on front pastedown). WITH A 1¼P. AUTOGRAPH LETTER FROM V. EDWARD WALKER, the dedicatee, dated Arnos Grove, Southgate, 19 April [19]04, to an unidentified correspondent, regarding the unreliability of Oxford records ("we always had trouble with Oxford scoring - not taking our Scorer"); and a second letter from Bettesworth, dated the Field, London E.C.4, 19 September 1927, to "Dear Gaston," thanking him for various letters and cuttings, though he is unable to quote from them, and adding as a post-script: "I am greatly amused at your 13 consecutive wides ... to think that you are quite a respectable member of society!"
