DEUTSCHER CRICKET-BUND, BERLIN
Cricket-regeln

Berlin: the Bund, [1913?]. Small 8vo., [22p] + advertisement leaf (slight spotting in margins), later green cloth, original printed buff wrappers bound in (front wrapper with lower corner clipped). Provenance: E.R. Wilson (with his translation of the introduction pencilled on a folded leaf).

"A very scarce production" (Eagar), published shortly before the outbreak of war. The advertisements at the end indicate that cricket must have enjoyed at least some measure of popularity, though these are all taken up by the Spezial-Sport-Haus A. Steidel, Berlin, which has for sale "Beinschützer für Cricketspieler" (pads), "Cricket-Bälle und Cricket-Schläger" (balls and bats), and even offers "Sachgemässe Reparaturen an Cricket-Shlägern ... prompt und preiswert" (quick and economical repairs to bats). Padwick 208.
