London: Simpkin, Marshall, [1884]. 4to., 36 unnumbered pages [of 38 called for by Padwick], all-lithographed with large illustration on each page and caption beneath (final leaf with light soiling and scribbles on verso, occasional thumb-soiling elsewhere), mid-20th-century brown half morocco, preserving original front wrapper with lithographic title (wrapper tattered at edges and scribbled on). Provenance: H.A. Cohen ("exchanged ... for A.L. Ford's Index to Scores and Biographies", notes Eagar).

An unusual volume of whimsical lithographs, with title on the wrapper only. The final leaf called for by Padwick may be the back wrapper, not present in this copy. Padwick 6884.
