A LARGE IZNIK-STYLE SATSUMA DISH MADE FOR THE TURKISH MARKET, JAPAN, 19TH CENTURY
Decorated in coloured enamels and gilt with stylised flower sprays within a border of cartouches reserved with breaking wave motifs, signed in red enamel to base -- 15½in. (39.4cm.) diam.
