A Safavid plate, Iran, 17th century
Decorated in blue, black and white glazes with a central foliate roundel on a ground of scattered leaves, within a border of flowerheads and scrolling foliage -- 10½in. (26.6cm) diam; and a Qajar plate decorated in blue and white glazes with bands of demi flowerheads and foliate trail -- 10 3/8in. (26.4cm) diam. (2)
