The single edged watered steel blade of yataghan form engraved on one side with a cursive inscription, the other with scrolling panels and stellar designs, the hilt with damascened fingerguard in two-colour gold with stylised water designs flowing around roundels containing trees and flowers, the green serge covered wooden sheath with silver locket and chape with elaborate pierced arabesque and trefoil border designs -- 30¼in. (77cm.) long
