Vladimir Kagan created this sofa for Mr. & Mrs. Reiser, a Dutch couple, who lived in a house designed by Walter Gropius in Lincoln, Massachusetts. Kagan later bought the sofa back and reupholstered it with his fabric 'Barvos'.
