A fine quality series of engravings after Raphael's masterpiece in the Vatican. This work is rare and does not appear in the standard references: the entry for the National Art Library copy notes that the plates were engraved by Lasinio (1757-1839), under the supervision of Francesco Rainaldi, from drawings made by Pietro Camporesi (1726-1781) after Raphael's originals. The record for the single copy sold at auction mentions a title and 14 plates, but this is probably incorrect as both the NAL copy and that in the Library of Congress have a total of 14 leaves (including the 'title').
