A manuscript presentation copy of Collé's songs, in a fine binding. Collé, prominent French poet, songwriter and dramatist, was associated with the duc d'Orleans and his court. Perhaps most celebrated as a 'chansonnier', his songs are regarded as some of the best examples from the golden age of 18th-century songwriting. Le Recueil complet des chansons de Collé did not appear in printed form until 1807.
