A FINE AND RARE IMPERIAL PAINTED LACQUER BRUSH AND COVER
WANLI SIX-CHARACTER MARK AND OF THE PERIOD (1573-1619)

Finely painted and gilt with a continuous lotus scroll encircling the pen and cover with a rectangular cartouche enclosing the reign mark at the top of the pen, and with a single chrysanthemum bloom on each end, the rims protected by original pewter caps
