A VERY FINE CARVED WHITE JADE BOWL AND COVER
QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795)
Finely carved with two taotie masks surrounded by archaistic scroll work, below the foliate everted rim carved with ruyi heads and flanked by a pair of loop handles modelled as bats amidst clouds, suspending loose rings, all raised on four tab feet, the cover with similar low-relief decoration and a cylindrical finial surmounted by a foliate rim, the stone of an even white tone
