Of bracket lobed sides, the central medallion well carved to depict a rustic scholar reading a book, seated beside a hoe under a willow tree amidst a rocky landscape, within a bracket-lobed frame, the cavetto of conforming shape detailed with a composite floral scroll, the reverse with a classic scroll carved through a thick layer of lacquer (rim repaired)
