AN UNUSUAL LAC BURGAUTE STATIONARY BOX
QING DYNASTY, 18TH CENTURY
Finely worked with mother of pearl inlay in a variety of tones and gold foil to depict four lakeside views with figures in a variety of pursuits to the sides, the front panel lifting to reveal two drawers decorated with eight chilong, with another two pairs on the handle, the top with floral sprigs and flowers, all within formal borders
