A FINE AND VERY RARE PAIR OF IRON-RED-DECORATED CAFE-AU-LAIT-GROUND DISHES
YONGZHENG SIX-CHARACTER MARKS WITHIN DOUBLE-SQUARES AND OF THE PERIOD (1723-1735)
Each finely potted shallow saucer covered in a translucent glaze of beige tone decorated in shades of iron-red to the central medallion with a finely pencilled dragon reaching to grasp a 'flaming pearl' amidst cloud scrolls, the reverse with a border of rolling and crashing waves interrupted at the compass points by jagged mountains
