QIANLONG INCISED SIX-CHARACTER SEALMARK AND OF THE PERIOD (1736-1795)

The deep bowl with four lobed sides rising to a slightly flared rim, supported on a splayed foot of comforming section, covered overall in a glaze of characteristic speckled deep green tone (fritting to rim)

Lot Essay

It would appear that the shape and colour of this bowl was inspired by Song dynasty green lacquer wares.
