A Roullet et Decamps clockwork walking boy doll
with Simon & Halbig bisque head, moulded brows, blue cotton-lashed flirting eyes, composition body and limbs jointed at the shoulder and wrist, wearing original midnight blue velvet suit edged with lace and pale blue silk with straw hat, shoes and socks --16½in. (42cm.) high, the head impressed SH 1039 Germany DEP 7½; and a French clockwork mechanism for what appears to be a swimming dog, the front legs are hinged and the rear are worked by the mechanism, probably Roullet et Decamps --10in. (25.5cm.) long (no body) (2)
