With gilt brass cylinder movement, chain fusée, pierced and engraved cock with decoratively engraved foot, diamond endstone, plain steel three arm balance, shaped Egyptian pillars, white enamel dial with Roman numerals, Arabic five minute divisions, pierced decorative hands, inner case plain with English hallmarks and casemakers stamp (rubbed), the outer case pierced and with a finely painted enamel plaque depicting a lady and gentleman, beside a tree with the gentleman writing a love message with his ink brush pen, both front and back borders similarly decorated with translucent enamel motifs of flora and fauna, inside the case the reverse of enamel plaque depicting a finely painted scene of a gentleman beside classical buildings, the third and protective outer case of gold and rock crystal, identically matching the design of the second enamelled case, movement signed, case stamped
