Unsigned, circa 1860
With gilt brass two train movement, verge escapement, chain fusée, three arm balance, hour and half hour striking with one hammer on the mounted bell at the top of the movement, with engraved front and back plates, conical pillars, the engraved brass dial with twelve moveable silver number plates with Chinese characters for the hours, in rectangular wood case with glazed aperture, a net covered aperture for the sound with overlaid floral and foliate motifs, the detachable lid held in place by a engraved brass bead, accompanied by a spherical wood fob engraved with fans inlaid with mother-of-pearl panels, unsigned 92x61x33 mm.
