The fisherman wearing soft felt hat, grey jacket and turquoise breeches, standing before a tree-stump, his right hand extended and holding a fish, two other fish at his feet, on rough square base applied with clumps of grass; the tradesman as a young boy walking forward and gazing to his right, wearing open turquoise-lined faun jacket and pink breeches, turquoise bows on his black shoes, a basket of his goods resting on the tree-stump at his left, a gilt band around the sides of the square base
