A PAIR OF WORCESTER BLUE-SCALE RETICULATED BASKETS
Circa 1768-1772, blue pseudo-Chinese fret marks
Each typically pierced with interlaced circlets, the interior painted with loose bouquest, reserved in a shaped cartouche edged with rich gilt foliate scrolls on the wattery blue-scale ground, the pierced rings of the basket with similar flower sprigs, the rim blue and edged in gilt, the exterior also blue-scale, gilt-centered dark puce-edged flowerheads applied and the intersection of the rings
