A LOUIS XIII ORMOLU-MOUNTED GILT-TOOLED MOROCCO LEATHER CASKET
MID-17TH CENTURY
The slightly domed lid with a semé fleur-de-lys field within a border of crowns alternating with fleur-de-lys and mounted with two handles and pierced corner clasps, the sides similarly decorated and mounted with two securing hooks, a similar pierced lockplate and smaller corner clasps, the interior lined in rose silk and with a trellis-patterned ribbon
