Lot Essay

Launched on Christmas Day 1955 and measured at 8,398 tonnes, Canberra Star had a service speed of 17.5 knots developed from her ten-cylinder two-stroke single-acting oil engine. Re-named Buenos Aires Star in 1973 and painted grey, she was scrapped in 1979.
