modelled by R.A. Wilson with rigging, detailed deck fittings, funnel with company ensign, scored wooden deck, finished in black and red and shown underway in a moulded and painted sea within wood-bound plexi-glass display case -- 8 x 26½in. (20 x 67cm.) Carry Case.

Lot Essay

Launched on Christmas Day 1955 and measured at 8,398 tonnes, Canberra Star had a service speed of 17.5 knots developed from her ten-cylinder two-stroke single-acting oil engine. Re-named Buenos Aires Star in 1973 and painted grey, she was scrapped in 1979.
