The 'Black Rembrandt' is so called after its presentation near the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam by the Rembrandt specialist Gerry Schwartz. Formed from a rough crystal of 125 carats, the brilliant-cut black diamond took three years and three day to cut due to its extreme hardness and multiple 'grain' directions.
