each painted in shades of puce with vignettes of Cupid at various persuits including, attending a cage, riding a goat, holding a bow and arrow and sitting by a basket of fruit, the borders gilt with a band of stylised leaves within gilt bands, impressed marks, indistinct date codes -- 9¼in. (23.5cm.) diam., circa 1865-70 (some slight wear and staining)
