Lot Essay

Ronald Olaf Hambro (1885-1961), merchant banker and Director of London Assurance Company, 1914-61, Governor, 1933-59. One of Hambro's greatest passions was Linton Park, Maidstone, Kent, which he bought in 1938 and restored to it's original condition.
