The badge oval with a central depiction of Hibernia, holding a harp and a staff, with a shield depicting the arms of the City of London, all below the legend London Assurance, further applied with the number 9, later cut with a slot, mounted into a leather covered glass ballot box, with a gilt tooled inscription, marked on front, the silver rim marked on side and on hinged lock
9 1/8 in. (23.5 cm.) high
The inscription reads: 'Friday 17, March 1720 RESOLVED THAT A GLASS BE PREPARED FOR RECIEVING THE VOTES COURT MINUTES VOL. I-PA 118'
