Ogival in form, lozenge in section, the edges slightly bevelled, the mid-rib prominent, finely engraved on each side with eight parallel lines and a row of concentric semicircles following the curvature of the blade, the rounded butt with a large concentric semicircle bordered by rows of hatches and four hatched trumpet-shaped elements, preserving six rivets for attachment to a separately-made hilt
